The Faerie Tree
By Jane Cable

This was an absolutely fantastic read. The storyline was well paced and the characters were so multidimensional with little side stories running along the main plot. I really enjoyed its unpredictable nature and the feeling of worry that I had for the two main characters. The clues dropped throughout left a little trail of crumbs towards the answer to the riddle of who had lost their memories and the answer seemed set to be one person at the start but then I became more and more doubtful until the final answer was revealed. I really like the addition of Gareth as a character just because he added that more realistic and medical perspective to the mental issues and troubles that the characters faced.

The story centres around the two main characters Robin and Izzie and Izzie's daughter Claire. When the bump into each other after many years since the original romance Robin is homeless. Izzie tries to find him a few days later and he is is ill in hospital. They eventually take him in to live in their home and they discover that their memories of their earlier romance stay the same until they reach one point and then they are completely different. Who's are real: Izzie who appears to have it all together and lead a happy life until her husband dies the year before or Robin who deserted everybody and then moved and then repeated this twice more and is very unstable...

Overall it was a great read and one that I would definitely recommend to anybody!
